Sweet Amber started life as a brewery, and we’re excited to be brewing again. Under new ownership, we’ve returned to our roots with a fresh batch of Sweet Amber beer, brewed for our Semaphore home and the community around us.

Neighborhood is a bright, easy-drinking American Pale Ale brewed with Amarillo, Cascade and Citra hops. Expect fresh citrus, tropical fruit and classic American hop character, balanced by a clean malt profile and crisp finish. At 4.5% ABV, it’s refreshing, approachable and built for another pint.

Sweet Amber's History

Below are some of the classics that were brewed by Sweet Amber, under different ownership.

A beer with excellent body and mouthfeel for a mid-strength beer. Hoppy enough to satisfy you but restrained enough to allow you to enjoy a proper session.

Juicy hop character gives way to a crisp and clean finish. Slightly doughy malt character. Dry but with a smooth founded mouthfeel. Restrained bitterness.

Sweet Amber’s take on a domestic draught beer. Ignoring popular fruity hops, this beer is made using all German ingredients letting the elegance of quality materials shine.

Rounded mouthfeel balanced by low bitterness. Malt character is low but with just enough to know you’re drinking a craft beer.

A modern example of a classis West Coast IPA. Lower in bitterness to promote drinkability.

Firm bitterness balanced by a rounded mouthfeel with just a touch of resinous hp character. A restrained malt character of caramel biscuit makes this a very session-able IPA

We gave our incredibly skilled Brewer a brief on what we wanted from our own Sweet Amber cider and after a moment of consideration he locked himself in the lab to work on his creation. He tells us his vision is for a ‘kick ass’ cider that will make our Punk Angel proud.

A cloudy beast, light on the sweetness, long on the acid for optimum drinkability with solid fruit character. An apple cider that actually tastes and smells like the fresh apples it was born from!
